‘Mapping your Second 50’ program - exclusively available to Second 50 members
Mapping your Second 50” shows you how to find meaning in your life.
This is a unique and powerful way of conducting a life review. We love it because it’s visual and simple - and it works. We think you’ll enjoy the process of creating your own unique Second 50 maps.
‘Mapping your Second 50’ is based on a methodology created and developed by the Nomadic School of Business, which has been facilitating programs for over two decades, including mapping workshops with individuals, businesses, schools and the public sector. Second 50 is excited to have collaborated with our friends at the Nomadic School of Business to co-create this tailored program for our members.
Over a 3-week sprint, you'll join a supportive cohort of Second 50 women to learn how to map your life until now, and for the future. You'll gain insights into your achievements, highlights that have given your life meaning, joy and purpose, as well as the obstacles you've encountered. This process of visually mapping your journey stimulates your big-picture thinking and helps you clarify what matters and rediscover your underlying passions, values, and goals. It's also a great way to recall where you felt most alive or motivated and previous challenges and see how you overcame them.
Why it works:
A new and engaging way of looking at yourself and your life.
Unleashes a creative thinking process, powered by visualisation.
Helps you self-reflect quickly and honestly.
Gives you more clarity around challenges and opportunities.
Unlocks wisdom, knowledge and experiences already within you.
"The timing of the Mapping Sprint coincided with a ‘What’s Next?’ crossroads in my work and personal priorities. I created a past and future map with the expert guidance of Melissa Richardson and a wonderful group of Second 50 women. Not only did I land on a bigger purpose story and reframe some choices, I also challenged a relationship fear that was time to let go of. I highly recommend the Mapping Sprint. Profound, life-affirming and enjoyable." (member feedback, June 2024)
"Being part of the Mapping group was amazing. It was a place I felt comfortable to be vulnerable, to admit to things I might not usually, in the knowledge that I was surrounded by other women who are not judging me, but could share their own 'swamp' stories of struggle, transition and trauma, and how they came out of it stronger and happier on the other side." "The mapping program was powerful for me because it was a structured timeframe and process to really reflect on my life - where I've been, where I am, and where I'm going. I looked at my wins, blows, the challenges I conquered, and who was with me on the way. This reflection helped me consider what I want to take with me and what I want to leave behind in my second 50. And ultimately, what I want to create." (member feedback, May 2024)
